Summary:
This series consists of 991 digital drawings and other files associated with the productions of the New York Theatre Institute (NYSTI). The bulk of the files consist of computer-assisted design drawings of various productions. In addition, there are 368 digital photographs documenting the props, costumes, and settings of NYSTI productions, as well as some images used in the research of various productions.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of 991 digital drawings and other files associated with the productions of the New York Theatre Institute (1996-2010). These materials are typically organized by production name. The bulk of the files consist of computer-assisted design drawings of various productions., in Visual CADD (Computer Aided Design) and Vectorworks, some of these files have been converted to Adobe PDF for easy viewing.

There are also present 10 digital photographs images of a traveling production of the NYSTI original play "American Soup, " which was staged in Sweden in 2005. The images depict props, backdrops, and other stage materials. In addition, there are 368 other digital photographs that were taken in 2005-2009. These images provide information regarding the props, costumes, and settings of the productions as well as some images used in the research of various productions.

There are no restrictions regarding access to or use of this material.

Custodial History

These records were created by the New York State Theatre Institute and were transferred to the custody of the State Education Department when the institute was dissolved in April 2010. They were transferred to the State Archives in March 2013.
