Scope and Content Note

Certificates are printed on forms which provide for the payment of monies due Revolutionary War veterans of New York State Militia and Levies for war service. The records contain the name of the veteran; rank; the amount due to him; the date on which the veteran's name appeared on regimental or core of Levies and Militia abstracts or payrolls; certificate number; and signature of the Treasurer of New York, Geradus Bancker.
