Alphabetic by first letter of teacher's last name, then chronological by date of first loan.
Administrative History
The State Teachers' Library was established in 1895 in the Department of Public Instruction to loan books by mail to teachers located in rural parts of the State. Until January 1, 1897 the Library also sold books at a discount to teachers.
Scope and Content Note
These bound volumes contain a record of books loaned to teachers by the State Teachers' Library. Each entry has the following information: name and address of borrower; name of person recommending the borrower; teacher's license type, dates of its issuance and expiration; identification numbers of books loaned (but not titles); and dates of loans.
