Included are vouchers and cancelled checks for expenses such as meteorological observations, visitation of academies, salaries, postage, stationery, and printing. Also included are check stubs from unidentified accounts and statements of accounts current for the Board of Regents and for the State Cabinet of Natural History.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of miscellaneous financial records of the Board of Regents.

Included are vouchers and cancelled checks, 1853-1856, for expenses such as meteorological observations, visitation of academies, salaries, postage, stationery, and printing. Two booklets of check stubs from unidentified accounts are dated 1854-1857 and 1861-1862. Also included in this series are statements of accounts current for the Board of Regents, 1857-1862, and the State Cabinet of Natural History, 1859-1861. The expenses itemized on these statements are similar to the vouchers and cancelled checks. The Regents' accounts current were published in the Annual Reports of Regents of the University.
