Administrative History
The LeRoy Academic Institute was chartered by the Board of Regents in 1864 and continued as a private school until 1891/92 when it apparently became the LeRoy Union School.

This series consists of bound registers of students at the LeRoy Academic Institute, LeRoy, Genesee County.
The information provided for each student is: name; age; residence; parents' names; studies pursued; tuition charged and paid; and occasional remarks. A list of the professional staff of the Institute is included for most academic years.
