These 48 blueprint maps were produced in compliance with the legal requirement for villages applying for incorporation to have a survey and survey map of the village made. The maps show name of village; name of county; date surveyed; name of surveyor; village corporation boundary lines and measurements; streets and street names; railroads; waterways; names of landholders; and sometimes, the survey description.

Alphabetic by name of village; Sacandaga Reservoir maps are grouped separately and arranged by district number.

Scope and Content Note

These are copies of maps on blueprint paper. The maps were produced in compliance with the legal requirement for villages applying for incorporation to have a survey and survey map of the village made.

The maps show: name of village; name of county; date surveyed; name of surveyor; village corporation boundary lines and measurements; streets and street names; railroads; waterways; names of landholders; and sometimes, the survey description. Five of the maps are of districts in the Sacandaga Reservoir region and, in addition to the above information, provide: tract numbers; acreage of tracts; county and town lines; and school district lines.
