Scope and Content Note
This series consists of printed forms related to contracts for construction and repairs on canals throughout New York State. The printed forms contain the roll number; canal division; title of work being done, for example "Improvement of Mud Creek" and "Steel Bridge and Abutments over Erie Canal in the Town of Minden"; chapter number; appropriation amount; date plans were received and name of division engineer by whom received; preliminary, monthly, and final estimates; dates; and name of company to which contract was awarded.
