Chronological by year then by type of district (city, village, district superintendency), then alphabetic by city, village, or county. Within each county, reports are alphabetic by school district name.

Scope and Content Note

These reports give summary data about pupils, staff, and facilities in school districts as reported each October.

The information consists of: pupil enrollment by grade span; pupils in excess of normal capacity; number of staff positions by title; and number of instruction rooms available, abandoned, completed, or needed. These reports were filed pursuant to Section 2117 of the Education Law requiring the filing of annual reports by "school authorities" with the Commissioner of Education.
