This series consists of financial statements, bills, memoranda, and telegrams concerning the allocation and expenditure of State Museum funds. Most expenditures relate to geological and paleontological research conducted by Museum scientists. Projects include New York State's exhibit at the World's Columbian Exposition; the Economic and Geological Map of New York; the final volumes of the Paleontology of New York; scientific investigation of the Livonia Salt Shaft and Museum Memoir 2, Palaeozoic Reticulate Sponges, Constituting the Family Dictyospongidae.
