Scope and Content Note
The series consists of a small folder of registration documents (correspondence and forms) pertaining to Syracuse University. Labeled "Items of Historical Interest," the records document certification of the university colleges and curricula of its various schools (architecture, fine arts, library, home economics, industrial arts, medicine, social sciences). The series serves as an example of the college/university registration process over time.
Correspondence covers such issues as listing of the university under a religious denomination; meeting Education Law criteria and Regents rules governing certificates or courses of study; name changes of component colleges; and proposed creation or abolition of degree programs, including home study and providing continuing education for war veterans.
