Scope and Content Note
This series of subject files documents the work of Father Thomas J. Florack, Hospital Chaplain (Roman Catholic) at Willard State Hospital (later Willard Psychiatric Center). A large portion of the series consists of sermons (homilies). Also included are publications and memorandums from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester; material from the Association of Mental Hospital Chaplains; job description, salary, and benefits information; Willard State Hospital administrative guidelines and policies; a variety of publications related to mental health, social counseling, and social issues; and monthly reports.
Custodial History
These records were transferred to the State Archives from Willard Psychiatric Center at the time of its closure in April, 1995.
