Scope and Content Note
The series consists of registers that list items "Issued from [the] Storeroom" of the Syracuse State Institution for Feeble-Minded Children during 1897-1910. There are no entries from April 1906 through July 1908 (a volume is probably missing). Items were issued to various departments, such as the "Boys' Building," Fairmount, the bakery, hospital, and the "Superintendent's House."
Format is constant throughout, with one exception. A variety of items were listed as "Goods," but in the first two volumes a specific "Brand" identifier was also included (e.g., an "oolong" brand of tea; "dried" apples). This brand information was dropped in later volumes. Headings include date; requisition number; issued "For" (department); folio (number); goods; brand (sometimes); cost of items; and total.
