Summary:
This series consists of summary information for approximately 3800 male patients recorded at the time of their admission to Craig Colony. The files provide information on the patient's family and personal history, detailed accounts of the patient's epileptic history, results and observations of physical and mental examinations, and evaluations regarding causes of the patient's condition.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of summary information (carbon copies) for approximately 3800 male patients recorded at the time of their admission to Craig Colony. The files provide detailed information on the patient's family background and personal history (including birth, education, and childhood information); detailed accounts of the patient's epileptic history; results and observations of physical and mental examinations including mental age, I.Q., mental status, and classification; and supposed causes of the patient's condition.

Access Restrictions

Restricted in accordance with Mental Hygiene Law, Section 33.13, relating to confidentiality of clinical records. Access is permitted under certain conditions upon approval by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.
