Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible websites of the New York State Board of Regents.

B2166-07: This accretion consists of a copy of the Board of Regents site produced on March 13, 2007, shortly after Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains information about the board's history, mission, and organizational structure and summaries, agendas, and other materials documenting its monthly meetings (2002-2006). Also included are legislative and budget proposals (2002-2003), information about the board's committees and sub-committees, and a statement outlining the roles and responsibilities of board-appointed trustees and commission members (2007). Major Policy Statements of the Board of Regents (1968-1993), an Education in New York Annual Report (2002), and other publications are also present.

This accretion also includes a copy of another website maintained by the Board of Regents as of March 2007. The National Program on Noncollegiate Sponsored Instruction (National PONSI) site (copied March 22, 2007) contains information about the program's history and mission, instructions for using the College Credit Recommendations (CCR) Online Directory, program policies and procedures (2005), a nationwide listing of cooperating colleges and universities, current and former member organizations of PONSI (2007), as well as resources for individuals and colleges concerning the program and non-traditional educational opportunities.

It contains information about the board's history, mission, and organizational structure and summaries, agendas, and materials documenting its monthly meetings (2002-2008). Also included are legislative and budget proposals (2002-2003), information about the board's committees and sub-committees, and a statement outlining the roles and responsibilities of board-appointed trustees and commission members (2007). Major Policy Statements of the Board of Regents (1968-1993), an Education in New York Annual Report (2002), and other publications are also present.

Information about Regents committees and subcommittees and biographies of individual Regents are also included.

This accretion also includes a January 14, 2011 copy of the board's National Program on Noncollegiate Sponsored Instruction (National PONSI) site. It contains information about the program's history and mission, newsletters (2007-2010), instructions and organization profile on the College Credit Recommendations (CCR) Online Directory, program policies and procedures (2010), a nationwide listing of cooperating colleges and universities, current and former member organizations of PONSI (2010), as well as resources for individuals and colleges concerning the program and non-traditional educational opportunities.
