Senator Darrel J. Aubertine, a Democrat, was elected to the Senate in a February 2008 special election. He represented the 48th Senate District, which consists of Oswego County and parts of Lewis County and St. Lawrence County. Researchers should note that in 2009, each senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual senators were removed from the live Web.

This series consists of an archival copy of the official website of Senator Darrel J. Aubertine produced on June 13, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, photographs, press releases (2008), a Fort Drum Economic Impact Statement (2006-07), and a map of the 48th Senate District.
