Scope and Content Note

B2293-11: This accretion consists of a copy of the Westchester County Health Care Corporation site produced on January 3, 2011, shortly after Governor David A. Paterson (2008-2010) left office. It contains information about the corporation's history, mission, and organizational structure, press releases (2006-2010), a strategic plan (2007-2011), annual budget reports (2009-2011), financial audit information (2008-2009), and procurement information. Also present is information about the corporation's specialty programs: pediatric, heart, cancer, transplant, trauma and burn, neuroscience, behavioral health, advanced imaging and screenings, and advanced obstetrics/gynecological care. Grouped under each specialty are newsletters and publications focusing on patient stories and health and wellness matters.

Researchers should note that, owing to the site's structure and the limitations of Web archiving technology, some of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly. B2293-20: This accretion contains a copy of the Westchester County Health Care Corporation site produced on March 15, 2020, during the third term of office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo (2011- ). It includes information about the corporation and its facilities, a newer strategic plan (2020), and newer annual budget reports (2016-2020), financial audit information (2015-2018), and procurement information. The bylaws and policies governing the corporation's operations, annual performance reviews (2015-2018), accomplishments reports (2015-2018), debt-related disclosures (2011-2018), and debt offering statements (2000, 2011, 2016) are also present. Information relating to the corporation's Westchester Medical Center facility includes a guidebook and other resources for patients and families, overviews of medical services, and information about graduate and continuing medical education opportunities, patient referral, and the facility's response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This accretion also includes copies of thirteen other sites maintained by the corporation. Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live sites and the limitations of Web archiving technology, none of these sites could be captured in their entirety. In addition, copying of each site was limited to one hour per site in an effort to minimize the burden on the corporation's information technology infrastructure during the coronavirus pandemic. Researchers should also note that videos present in many of the live sites were deliberately excluded from these copies on account of their size.

The Westchester Medical Center Health Network site (copied March 30, 2020) contains summary information about the other organizations, facilities, and practices overseen by the corporation. The Center for Regional Health Care Innovation site (copied March 30, 2020) contains information about its role in guiding the Westchester Medical Center Network's participation in the State of New York's Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment Project, the implementation plan submitted to the state (2015), a project implementation guide (2015), project selection documentation requirements, and files relating to specific projects (2014-2015). The Sexual Assault and Victim Empowerment Program site (copied March 30, 2020) contain information about support services for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, training the program provides to social services organizations, criminal justice systems, colleges and universities, and other organizations, and information about volunteer opportunities.

The Bon Secours Charity Health System site (copied March 30, 2020) contains summary information about the system, which retains a distinctive identity within the corporation's network; researchers should note that the medical practice and the three hospitals affiliated with this system have their own websites. The Bon Secours Medical Group site and the Advanced Physician Services site (both copied on March 30, 2020) contain information relating to large group medical practices: medical specializations, office locations, patient guides and billing information, and news and events.

Eight of the sites (all copied on March 30, 2020) concern individual hospitals within the Westchester Medical Center Health Network: Behavioral Health Center, Bon Secours Community Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, HealthAlliance Hospital, Margaretville Hospital, Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, and St. Anthony Community Hospital. They contain information about medical services, resources for patients and visitors, information about recent and upcoming events, and information about each facility's response to the coronavirus pandemic.
