Administrative History
In 1982, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority transferred to the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) jurisdiction over Stewart Airport (near Newburgh) and Republic Airport (on Long Island). Since then, each airport has had a commission, consisting of DOT officials and representatives from the local community, which sets policy for the airport and studies the relationship between airport operations and the surrounding community.

This series includes meeting minutes, resolutions, plans, and studies of the Republic Airport Commission.
