This series is arranged chronologically by decision date.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of registers of decisions handed down by the Supreme Court Appellate Division, Third Department. Each entry includes date of decision, case title, brief abstract of decision, names of judges present, names of judges dissenting from decision (if any), and name of judge writing opinion (if any).

Each volume contains an alphabetical index to cases decided. Cases are indexed by last name or corporate name of first party listed in case title as recorded by the court. This can be appellant or respondent, depending on the nature and outcome of the original case from which the appeal emanates.
