This series consists of correspondence, memorandums, requests, hearings, reports, and proposed bills compiled by the Senate Committee on Mental Hygiene when Senator Manfred Ohrenstein was chairman. The records cover such topics as the organization and operation of committee proposals; hearings and investigations; narcotics; mental hygiene facilities; and legislative bills relating to mental hygiene.
Custodial History
These records were donated to Syracuse University by Senator Manfred Ohrenstein in 1967. They were transferred to the New York State Archives in June 2006 and accessioned in December 2007.
