D. Mallory Stephens was a Republican politician who represented Putnam County in the New York State Assembly from 1926-1952. During his career as an assemblyman, Stephens served on the Way and Means Committee and from 1943-1952 was its Chairman. He also served as a member of the New York State War Council.
Scope and Content Note
This series contains files created and maintained by D. Mallory Stephens during his tenure as a member of the New York State Assembly. Included are booklets, newspaper articles, publications, and other assorted documentation that reflect his interests in the budget and taxation. Republican Party campaign literature and materials related to Stephens' involvement with the New York State War Council are also included.
