Discharge of Lambert Cornelissen Cool for his portion of his mother's estate

I, the undersigned, [ Lambert Cornelissen ], hereby [ acknowledge ] (before [ the subscribing witnesses, at the request of ] my father, Cornelis [Lambertsen,[1] here] present), that I have been [ fully paid and sa ]tisfied for [ the portion of ] my [ deceased mother’s estate which ] until now has been in the custody of my father and my step-[ mother ], Aeltien Braccongne, in witness whereof I have signed this and [ promise to ] hold myself satisfied in full, submitting myself to that end to all courts and justices. Thus done and signed the [      ] May 1642, in Fort Amsterdam, in New Netherland. And was signed with the following mark X , near which was written: This is the mark of Lambert Cornelissen. Lower appeared the following mark X , near which was written: This is the mark of Cornelis Lambersz. Was signed also, Maurits Jansen and Willem Kieft, both as witnesses.

Cornelis van Tienhoven
Cornelis Lambertsen Cool died before September 4, 1644, when the banns were published of Wilhem Bredenbent, young man of Ceulen (Cologne), and Aeltje Braconie, widow of Cornelis Lamberts. The name of Lambert Cornelissen’s mother is unknown. See N. Y. Gen. Biog. Record, 1934, 65:16-19.
