I, Willem Tomassen, master of the ship De Valckenier, bind myself as surety for Jan Wilcocx to Ritchert Smith in the sum of eighty-five guilders, on condition that if said Smith be ordered by the council to pay Allerton, I shall then repay said money to Smith. In witnesses whereof this is signed by me.
