Order that Jochem Kuyter may take a copy of a ground brief of his land from the book of patents

Series:
Scanned Document:

Jochem Kuyter requests, by way of petition, a patent of his land which was granted to him by former Director Kieft in July of 1639, and was recorded by Mr. Montagne and the secretary. The director and council recommend: whereas the petitioner requests that a copy of his patent be made from the record book of patents, in which the director and council believe it is recorded, and if it is not the case, then he shall be given preference before others and issued a new patent for his land, provided the petitioner is still inclined to maintain the promise to improve the land. Done at the meeting of the director and council, 29 January 1652.
