William Goulder, inhabitant of the village of Gravesande; and declared to have conveyed to Arent van Hattem, mayor of this city of New Amsterdam, a piece of land located on Long Island, bordering on the village of Gravesande; and that by virtue of a letter of attorney and patent granted to him, the grantor, by Robert Pennayer, dated blank ] etc.

Done at New Amsterdam in New Netherland, 1 April 1653.
