Summary:
The Temporary State Commission on the Capital City was created for the purpose of cooperating with local officials and groups
in developing recommendations for a realistic and fiscally sound program for the rehabilitation of the City of Albany. The
series consists of commission staff files that document its various activities. Records include architects' proposals, consultant
contracts, South Mall progress reports, reports to the State Legislature, meeting minutes, public hearings, and newspaper
clippings. Also included are several dozen photographs and slides.
