This series consists of correspondence sent to the New York State Department of State from local and state government officials announcing resignations and removals from office. Some of the letters are submitted from the officials themselves, whereas others announce that vacancies have become available in certain positions.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
