Scope and Content Note
This series contains the state historian's copies of calendars and minutes of meetings of the Council and its planning committee. The state historian received copies because the Council's authority included state historic sites.
These calendars and minutes contain information on: budget proposals for state parks, planning for acquisition of park lands, proposed legislation concerning parks, and preparation of guides and maps to park lands. They also sometimes include lengthy accounts of discussions at Council meetings.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
