Scope and Content Note
This series consists of correspondence, memoranda, reports, meeting agenda and minutes, clippings, press releases, and promotional literature concerning historical celebrations in which the Division of Archives and History participated.
There are one or more files on the following historical observances: Fort Ticonderoga Bicentennial (1955); East Greenbush Centennial (1955); Constitution Day (April 20, 1957); Fort Stanwix Day (August 3, 1957); 300th Anniversary of the Flushing Remonstrance (1957); Alexander Hamilton Bicentennial (1957); Theodore Roosevelt Centennial (1958); Year of History (1959); and Hudson-Champlain 350th Anniversary Celebration (1959). Files provide information on exhibits, activities, essay contests, and statewide and local events related to these and other celebrations.
