Scope and Content Note
This series contains the file copies of many Department of Civil Service publications including brochures, pamphlets, manuals, and serials.
In many cases various editions of a publication are filed in the series (e.g. the 1942, 1946, 1948, 1952 and 1963 editions of Manual of Procedures in Disciplinary Actions). Publications cover such topics as careers in State service, office etiquette and comportment, supervision of employees, employee services, office technology, and personnel administration.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
