Scope and Content Note

This series consists of correspondence (incoming and outgoing), memorandums, press releases, newspaper clippings, legislative proposals, reports, studies, published literature, brochures, photographs, and posters concerning the Department of Commerce's role in the hosting of the 1980 Winter Olympic Games at Lake Placid, New York.

The records in this series are divided into two subseries: correspondence files and subject files.
