Scope and Content Note
The series consists of subject and correspondence files of the Executive Director of the Division of Equalization and Assessment/Office of Real Property Services and ex officio secretary of the State Board. The records document the work of the division to carry out the policies and programs of the State Board, an independent agency subdivision within the Executive Department charged with establishing equalization rates for counties, cities, towns and villages, and other special equalization rates.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
