This series consists of non-routine consent orders involving cases relating to hazardous waste; cases encompassing multiple
Department of Conservation (DEC) regions; cases involving novel issues of policy or law; cases appearing to conflict with
DEC policy; or cases involving sensitive or controversial issues. Each consent order includes finding of violation, remedial
program description, compliance timetable, interim proposals, orders to pay costs of investigation and remediation, penalties
for non-compliance, and provisions for modifications or summary abatement orders.
