Scope and Content Note

The Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) Office of Public Employment Practices and Representation "reviews petitions from public employee organizations [i.e. unions] and employers concerning the creation of new negotiating units and recognition of employee bargaining agents, approves the transfer of members between existing units, and designates management/confidential positions. This series of case files with "E" numbers documents management/confidential cases. Case files typically contain petitions, responses, notices, affidavits, briefs, stipulations, exhibits, correspondence, and the ruling by the unit director.
