The Permanent Commission on Public Employee Pension and Retirement Systems was authorized by Executive Law, Art. 27, Secs. 800-802, to study and make recommendations about all aspects of public employee retirement programs including benefits, funding, cost and administration. Their findings were to serve as a guide for legislative and executive action.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
