Each record consists of two sections: 1) a header section identifying the professional's name, sex, marital status, age, educational level, and professional experience; and a main section with assignment data such as the assignment code, assignment name, grade level of students, ability levels of students, and the professional's assignment certification status.
The Archives will also provide copying of the data files on magnetic tape or floppy disk and copying of any support documentation. A user's guide is available from the State Archives.

The files are stored on 14 reels of tape at 6250 bpi. The data can be manipulated using a common statistical package. Tape copies are in standard label EBCDIC format.
