Scope and Content Note
This series consists of printed copies of transcripts of public hearing testimony gathered by two commissions in the course of investigating illegal activities. These printed copies were forwarded to the Temporary Commission of Investigation for retention. Included are transcripts of the New York State Crime Commission Public Hearing No. 5 (Port of New York Waterfront) and of the Commission to Investigate Pari-Mutuel Harness Racing (officially named the New York State Commission to Study, Examine and Investigate State Agencies in Relation to Pari-Mutuel Harness Racing).
