Scope and Content Note
The series consists of minutes documenting issues discussed at meetings of the council such as long range goals for the council; cooperation with other arts organizations; long range plans for individual programs; personnel changes; events planning and participation; policy formulation; and final votes on grant applications.
The series also contains agendas; grant recommendation records; letters to state officials; and copies of news items related to topics that were of interest for a particular meeting.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
