Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) are governed by Article 44, Public Health Law, dating from 1976. They are also subject to Part 98 of 10NYCRR, which dates from 1968.

The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
