Summary:
The bulk of the series consist of contracts and similar agreements made by the Attorney General's Office for the services
of receiver attorneys, or for the designation of special counsel, in legal cases that involved New York State. Records include
correspondence; notes; deeds and documents related to property transactions; contracts; court documents; and leases. Of note
are property documents related to railroads and ownership history (back to the 17th century) of several parcels of land in
Newburgh.
