Scope and Content Note

Material in the series is mostly paper records including items Mt. Auburn Associates (MAA) collected while writing the report and material provided by Empire State Development (ESD) to MAA. Publications include a small newssheet called "Rebuilding Wall Street," which was published for a year after the World Trade Center (WTC) attacks with some follow-up issues every few months and a study done by the Rand Corporation in 2004. There are ESD internal assessments of recovery programs, reports from ESD to federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD), various reports on WTC infrastructure, HUD audits, drafts of action plans and program administrative documents, and a floor by floor assessment of the loss of life in the attacks. Also included are eight mini-tapes of interviews of staff, a CD of transcripts of the interviews, and CDs of "Rebuilding Wall Street."
