Scope and Content Note
The series consists of reports, memoranda, copies of proceedings, meeting minutes, and assorted related materials pertaining to several temporary state commissions. The purpose for which the documents were gathered and the office/person responsible for collecting them is unknown.
Included are various materials pertaining to proceedings of the New York State Constitutional Convention of 1967; the Temporary State Commission on the Revision and Simplification of the Constitution (1959); the Temporary Commission on the Fiscal Affairs of State Government (1952-1955); the Temporary Commission on City Finances (1961); and the Joint Hospital Survey and Planning Commission (1959).
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
