These files contain the following kinds of records and information: correspondence of the committee chairman and executive secretary with committee members, Education Department officials, local school officials, and conference participants concerning committee and subcommittee appointments, hiring of consultants, organization of the regional and state conferences, and participation of New York in the White House Conference; transcripts of proceedings of executive committee meetings; reports on regional conferences; copies of speeches given at conferences; and press releases.
