Scope and Content Note
The series consists of copies of statements presented before the committee by various private individuals and representatives of a number of farm organizations at public hearings throughout the State. Although primarily concerned with the subject of the preservation of the "family" farm, the statements also touch upon such topics as the farmer and conservation, consumer-oriented regulation, land-use planning, and taxation.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
