Scope and Content Note
Quotes for prices paid at Burton's Livestock Auction, Vernon, New York and Welch's Livestock Auction, West Edmeston, New York, were reported by the Senior Marketing Representative for the Utica State Office Building. The prices paid are per hundredweight except for cattle replacements which are sold by the head. The reports cover market prices for steers and heifers, cattle, dairy type slaughter cattle, calves, and dairy replacements.
