Scope and Content Note
This series consists of accounts and receipts of the Commissioners for settling claims of persons who had received grants of land from New York in what is now Vermont.
The accounts are for services rendered by the Commissioners or for money paid out by them for office supplies and newspaper advertisements addressed to potential claimants.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
