Scope and Content Note

This series consists of a burned fragment of volume of "Land Bounty Rights" (possibly for Albany County). By Acts of 1778 and 1780 each militia Regiment was divided into classes which were obliged to furnish one armed man on call. "Land Rights" were awarded to classes which did so.

This volume (a transcription of the original) lists class, soldier's name, muster master, and regiment, but much of the information has been destroyed.
