This series consists of proposals for construction.
Each entry gives: number of proposal; names of bidder and guarantors; section number; and amount of bid. Legislation of 1827 empowered the Canal Commissioners to accept proposals for work on canals. Enlargement of the Erie Canal was authorized by legislation of 1834.
