Scope and Content Note
Daily record of receipts and disbursements kept by the office of the State Comptroller. Each entry gives the name of payor or payee, name of account, warrant number, journal letter and page number. The day books cover the entire range of state activities. Format of entries varies somewhat over the years.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
