Scope and Content Note
This series records money received by the Treasurer, whose office was responsible for receiving and distributing state funds (L. 1778, Ch. 26). The book records the date; name; residence; account (by mortgage tax or inheritance tax); amount; and amount refunded (when applicable). The book is divided into three sections, each of which contains similar information.
