Scope and Content Note
This volume is an index listing payments made for the purchase of lands sold for arrears of taxes. A law of 1820 set the first Tuesday of February, 1821, as the date for the sale of these lands by the comptroller. The list contains the name of the purchaser; county in which the land was located; and the amount paid for each piece of land.
